 I hope you all had a nice Halloween. I dressed up as-you guessed it-...Luna Lovegood! 

I apologize for the not-so-great photo.

The shoes, skirt, shirt, sweater, and flats are my church clothes, the wand is just a painted dowel with decorations on it, the Spectra Specs were bought on Amazon, and the scarf was knitted by my mum(thank you so much!)

Wands- what about them?

'Ello there my dears!
As I was drinking my usual cup o' tea, I started wondering about wands!

Yes, wands. Some of you might be wondering WHY wands are such a big deal!
Wands are the tool used for magic, spells, curses... what have you.
Without them, Wizards and Witches wouldn't be well... Wizards and Witches!For instance, my wand is
11 1/2 inches, made of dark oak wood, and a single unicorn hair from Acklekep-the greatest unicorn of her kind.

You might be wondering what type of wand YOU would have!

Luna: I am more of a band girl-I like Coldplay, Phish, Imagine Dragons etc. 

Tonks:OHH BLIMEY! We've sprung a leak! ;) I have so many. I like Taylor Swift, Ramin Karimloo, Sierra Boggess, anything Disney, Ed Sheeran, I LOVE BROADWAY! Carrie Underwood, Lots more but I shan't bore you ;)

2. If your favorite male actor was in the room with you right now, what would your reaction be?

Luna: I'd do something embarrassing most likely. 

Tonks: I would saunter up to him, and then be like OHHHMY GOODNESS HELLOO I LOVE YOU!! MARRY ME!?!! And embarrass myself :D

3. Is there a famous person who you used to love, but you've suddenly changed your mind? 

Luna: Nah.

Tonks: ..... No comment ;)  kidding,umm... yes!

Luna: Vector from Despicable Me BOOYAH NAILED IT.

Luna: I don't really know. Most are kinda...ew.

Tonks: I like the one, that the pretty lady wore! :)

Luna: Queen Elsa. Oh hello there.

I am somewhat obsessed with Duchess Kate, and her family :D

Luna: Shirley Temple

Tonks: Shirley Temple. hands down.

8. Is there an actor/actress that you actually like all the private lives of? 

Luna: Not really.

Tonks: Jennifer Lawrence.

Luna: Yes.

Tonks: .. ehhh

Luna: Haven't really seen any yet. 

Tonks: ANSEL ELGORT! I love him, but his name is WEIRD!

Luna: Tonks looks like Jennifer Lawrence. 

Tonks: Why Thanks M'dear. Luna thinks I look like Jlaw(I have been asked if I was), I think she looks like Taylor Swift! Luna: Urgggg why her, but you're right.

Luna: I don't really have any currently-well by real people. I HAVE PLENTY OF BOOK QUOTES, WANT ONE?

The Mirror of Erised~Is it Just a Creepy Mirror?

“Can you think what the Mirror of Erised shows us all?" Harry shook his head.

"Let me explain. The happiest man on earth would be able to use the Mirror of Erised like a normal mirror, that is, he would look into it and see himself exactly as he is. Does that help." 
Harry thought. Then he said slowly, "It shows us what we want... whatever we want..." 
"Yes and no," said Dumbledore quietly. 
"It shows us nothing more or less than the deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts. You, who have never known your family, see them standing around you. The Mirror of Erised.....Desire, if you switch around the last word. 

The Mirror, it is true, shows us our true desires....and as Dumbledore points out, can ruin us forever.

How often do we see this in real life, people being corrupted by their wants, being obsessed with things that cannot be? 

Harry sees his family in the  mirror-and he might have stayed there forever, pining away for things that cannot be. 

I feel that Rowling is really trying to point something out to us. 

To Hogwarts We Go~A Fanfiction

"I want to go! I miss them!"

"Not yet Lily Luna."

The red-headed little girl scowls at the cat.

"It's just no fair Minerva!"

The cat meows disinterestedly and stalks off.

Lily sits down at the kitchen table, still glaring.

Then she has an idea.

"I'm going to go there myself!" she says quietly, a smile creeping across her lips.  

She tip-toes upstairs to the attic and grabs her father's old school robes. 

"I'd be sure to be in Gryffindor!" she thinks. 

There was the problem of the wand.

"Aha! Uncle George's trick one! It will fool them until I can get a real one!"

The little girl steals down the staircase again, trying her hardest not to give herself away.

"Hullo! Where are youuuu off to!"

A  boy about the girl's age grins at her.

"SHHHH. Hugo, I'm going to Hogwarts!"

"Blimey I'm coming too!"

Did the two children reach their destination? Were they discovered? That is for you to determine.
